Marketing & Communications Coordinator | Charlottesville Area Association of REALTORS
Charlottesville, VA, The Marketing & Communications Coordinator is responsible for contributing to the coordination, development, and delivery of communication and marketing for a local REALTOR® association and conference center. This individual will be responsible for supporting the Association’s marketing and communications initiatives by coordinating and producing content for a variety of channels, both digital and in print, as well as logistical support for some Association and conference center events. The Marketing & Communications Coordinator will report to the Director of Marketing & Communications but will collaborate closely with the membership and staff as well. Employee will be required to work 4 days a week in the office; 1 remote work day per week is an option.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Work with the Director of Marketing & Communications to execute various elements as it relates to the Association website, social media channels, email marketing, videos, etc. This may include content, advertisements, editing, proofreading, layouts, printing, and mailing or electronic distribution.
Format and execute email marketing to membership, including, but not limited to weekly e-newsletter, event promotions, and marketing for educational programs. This may include event promotions, and marketing for educational and informational programs.
Maintain regular social media presence including messaging, comment correspondence, sharing, and updating information to increase utilization and usefulness to members and the public.
Provide routine administration of the website, including regular updates of meeting minutes, etc.
Provide support as needed to Director of Marketing & Communications as it relates to events, such as the coordination of General Membership Meeting, Legislative Breakfast, etc.
Contribute to the creation of graphic design and imagery work on behalf of the Association services, programs, and projects.
Provide support as needed to Director of Marketing & Communication as it relates to volunteer recruitment and retention and the New REALTOR® Incentive Program
Provide support as needed to Director of Marketing & Communications Director to maintain and communicate current awareness of industry issues to members, public, and among local elected officials and government entities.
Staff liaison for annual awards program recognizing outstanding members.
Staff liaison for the Charlottesville Young Professionals Network (YPN) – includes hosting monthly meetings; coordinate, plan, and execute events, etc.
Photography as necessary.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum of two (2) years recent work experience in writing, editing, program/event management, or equivalent discipline.
Real estate industry experience is not required.
Excellent organizational abilities.
Ability to communicate in both the written and spoken word.

Strong interpersonal skills and time management skills.
Maintain a positive attitude.
Must be self-directed, able to identify projects, develop strategies to conduct projects, and see projects to completion.
Ability to interact effectively with members and staff at all levels and represent the organization with a high degree of integrity.
Highly motivated, with ability and initiative to work independently, set priorities and handle multiple tasks with good judgment.
Well organized and able to interpret relevant insights from various resources and produce error-free reports and correspondence.
Knowledge of marketing and communication platforms, including websites, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other required software programs. Adobe suite products a plus.
Demonstrate skill in establishing and maintaining cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility, as well as the ability to continue to learn.
Medical, dental, and life insurance coverage paid by CAAR for employee; approx. value of $1,000/month. Optional family coverage available and paid by employee. 10 vacation days and 8 sick days per year, earned on a prorated monthly basis. Employee may elect to join the 401K plan via roll-over in 30 days, and contributions are eligible following the first six months of employment. 401K Employer match program (50% match up to 3% of salary/year).
