Marketing Specialist | Techcyte
Orem,, A Quick Overview
Techcyte is special. Not just because our tech is amazing and doing real good in the world, not just because our company is growing very quickly with nothing but exciting prospects ahead, but because of our people and our culture, which are simply fantastic! I’m the VP of Marketing, and am looking to expand my marketing team. I’m based in Luxembourg, managing the office over here, but Marketing is my background, my passion. I need to find someone to join me on a fast-paced adventure. Read the job description below and if you think you’re the right person, by all means, send me your application and let’s meet!
What you’ll be responsible for
We’re a VERY fast-moving startup (hence, fast-changing), and while we’ll have a strategy in place, we need to be able to adapt or even change it very quickly. You’ll help develop and implement our corporate, vertical- and product-specific marketing strategies, and implement a whole myriad of marketing programs such as email, social media, PR and events.
You’ll collaborate all the time with other colleagues throughout the company, internal teams and external providers (e.g. product, development and sales) to develop and monitor everything we do.
My career motto is “it’s gotta work, THEN it’s gotta look good”. You’ll need to have a pragmatic, almost skeptical approach to everything we do, because you’ll be analyzing and reporting to me on the performance and efficiency of our assets and campaigns.
We’re pioneering our field, which will lead you to regularly report on competitors, fellow industry travellers, and overall market trends. You’ll conduct regular market research and be able to get meaningful information for us to use. Don’t worry though, I’m not into reporting for reporting’s sake.
In our team (internal as well as with service providers) you will conceive, create and implement marketing materials such as sales and product collateral (very little print), email campaigns, landing pages, brochures, event collateral, website content, swag, and the list goes on…
Words are the heart of what we do. Plus we’re remote first. Plus we’re in charge of internal communications. You will write, proofread and edit creative and technical content across different mediums. And it goes beyond just being able to write correct English, but know how to tell a story and engage.
You’ll be working with external agencies and vendors to execute marketing programs. You’ll need to know how to negotiate, play fair, and maintain good relationships.
The stuff that makes you the ideal candidate
You have a Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (ok if you don’t have this but can show me that you can nail the rest, fine 😉
You have a solid 2-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in an agency or a small company where you have to do a whole lot, don’t have a lot of time, and have to find ways to get solutions and answers to pretty much everything.
You need a strong knowledge of various marketing and analytics tools such as HubSpot, and content management systems such as WordPress, and graphics design/layout such as the CC suite.
Since we’ll be actually producing a lot of assets, it will be a huge plus to have design, layout, and ideally some web creation skills. I will ask to see things you’ve produced, because it’s one thing to be able to work a program, it’s quite another to have a good eye.
You need to be production-oriented, being able to analyze data and present it efficiently so we can make sound business decisions based on it.
You absolutely MUST have strong written and verbal communication skills, and the obvious attention to detail. You’ll be writing a lot. And like I said before, good writing goes beyond just good grammar, it’s about creating a mood, engaging, and influencing behavior.
As a remote-first company, you’ll have a lot of freedom to manage your time. Plus we’re all adults here, I do not want to breathe down your neck all the time. This, however, comes with a corresponding degree of responsibility over updating others as to your progress, results, and having strong prioritization, organization, and project management skills in general.
You’ll be managing our US-based events (and possibly elsewhere if the need arises) which means you’ll need to be able to travel and ensure the Techcyte brand on the road.
So there you have it. If you’ve gotten this far, you’re probably a good candidate. So apply now, let’s see what we can do together! depends on your qualifications/experience
