Vice President, Client Experience and Marketing Segment Strategy | Ameriprise Financial, Inc.
Minneapolis, Minnesota, This role will provide strategic leadership for the overall Ameriprise Client Experience as well as the firm’s strategic approach to segment marketing. It will also lead the planning and administration functions for the Marketing & Financial Advice Strategy team. Partner with internal partners to drive execution of programs and initiatives. Demonstrate strong understanding of the business, including pragmatic understanding of field execution of client experience and marketing programs. Responsibilities Provide strategic thought leadership, cross-organizational planning and coordination, and program execution for the overall Ameriprise Client Experience, both the advisor-delivered and the firm-delivered experience elements. Provide strategic thought leadership and program development and execution for the firm’s approach to marketing to and serving key growth segments, including consumers in the earlier wealth building life stage and other key segments. Ensure client experience and segment marketing programs are aligned with Marketing and enterprise-wide priorities through proactive partnership and communication with key partners across the firm. Accountable for overall program results including developing methods to track effectiveness of implemented programs and providing program results to senior leaders with recommendations to sustain or improve results. Provide leadership for Planning & Administration function for the Marketing & Financial Advice Strategy team, including partnering with other areas including Finance, HR, Legal, and/or Communications to ensure delivery of key tasks in support of the organization’s effectiveness. Key tasks for the team will include budget management, organizational goal metrics & tracking, improvement in employee satisfaction, coordination of year-end process/performance management processes, talent and business unit reviews and preparation of presentations, communications, and speeches. Provide direct leadership to team members, including coaching, development, and performance management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. 10+ years of relevant experience. Registration Requirements – Series 7, Series 24, or ability to obtain. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategy to tactical implementation. Proven ability to drive marketing program results. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Previous experience working in a matrixed organization. Financial Services experience required. Preferred Qualifications Direct experience working with field leaders and advisors to drive behavior change and growth. Certified Financial Planner (CFP??) certification.
