Computer Vision Engineer – AI for Project Media Organization

Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Computer Vision Expert to lead the development of an AI system capable of scanning users’ phones, desktops, and other devices for project photos and videos, organizing them based on location. The ideal candidate will have expertise in lidar, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), as well as strong proficiency in computer vision, deep learning, and image processing techniques.

Responsabilities

  • Design and implement advanced algorithms and methodologies to develop an AI system capable of scanning users’ devices for project-related photos and videos.
  • Utilize deep learning, lidar and SLAM techniques to accurately detect and map the location of each media file.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate the AI system into existing software platforms or develop standalone applications.
  • Research and stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision, artificial intelligence, and related fields to continuously improve the capabilities of the system.
  • Work closely with product managers and stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Contribute to the overall innovation and technical excellence of the company through proactive ideation and problem-solving.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in computer vision, with a focus on lidar, SLAM, image processing, and deep learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, and/or MATLAB.
  • Solid understanding of computer vision libraries/frameworks such as OpenCV, TensorFlow, and PyTorch.
  • Experience with developing and deploying AI solutions in real-world applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Passion for pushing the boundaries of technology and creating innovative solutions.

Prefered requirements

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, or related field.Previous experience in developing AI systems for media organization or similar applications.
  • Knowledge of mobile device platforms and desktop operating systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based computing and distributed systems.
