Job description

We are seeking a talented Computer Vision Engineer with expertise in deep learning to join our team and lead the development of applications for the diagnosis of dental anomalies and diseases on mobile devices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in computer vision, machine learning, and a passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare outcomes.

Responsabilities

  • Design and implement state-of-the-art deep learning algorithms for the detection and diagnosis of dental anomalies and diseases using mobile devices.
  • Collaborate with dental professionals and medical experts to gather data, define requirements, and validate the performance of the application.
  • Develop efficient and scalable software solutions for real-time processing of dental images and videos on mobile platforms.
  • Optimize deep learning models for accuracy, speed, and resource efficiency, considering the constraints of mobile devices.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of the application to ensure robustness, reliability, and accuracy in diagnosing dental conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in computer vision, deep learning, and dental imaging technologies to continuously improve the application.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, UX/UI designers, and product managers, to integrate the application into existing platforms or develop standalone solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in computer vision, deep learning, and machine learning.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and/or MATLAB.
  • Strong understanding of deep learning architectures, including CNNs, RNNs, and GANs.
  • Experience with developing and deploying deep learning models on mobile platforms, preferably iOS and Android.
  • Familiarity with dental imaging modalities and techniques, such as X-rays, CT scans, and intraoral cameras.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Passion for leveraging technology to improve healthcare outcomes and make a positive impact on people’s lives.

Prefered requirements

  • Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, or related field.
  • Previous experience in developing medical imaging applications or diagnostic tools.
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy, pathology, and common dental diseases.
  • Experience with cloud-based computing and distributed systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards related to medical device development.
